Driftless SW Wisconsin

WI Dan - 6/12/2019 13:08 How many bales in a line?

As many as you want, or have available or have room for. The line pictured will go along the fence. I did end at about 80 bales for the first crop  in this location and will move the wrapper to my other place and hopefully rake, bale and wrap today.  I want this line as long as possible to minimize the work and wasted end bales (if the new end bags don't work). When I start feeding these in November I'm just going to work from one end to the other.

Second crop will be another tube parallel to the first crop tube pictured. If there is a 3rd crop it will be parallel alongside the 2nd.

One goal for next winter is to minimize moving hay from one place to the other 1.5 miles away. With all of my hay in a hay shed at one place and half of my cattle at another place it seemed like I spent a lot of the winter carrying hay from the shed 1.5 miles on the road.
