Driftless SW Wisconsin | I keep hearing this. Truck is a 2010 model with a replacement bed. Trailer is older than that. Traded skid steers 2 years ago. Wrapper is new this year. Other hay equipment is all 2013 vintage...
It was either start wrapping all hay or build a shed. Sold a nice batch of bred heifers this spring and may do more of that. I would not have wanted to be buying my hay at this past winters prices... It looks like custom wrapping work should have the wrapper paid for before too long.
Everything pencils out over time. Cow calf requires a longer term view. Not fashionable but necessary. | |
