FWIW, I believe it's week 20 planting progress they use as a predictor for any corn yield adjustment on this report, and that's likely where most of the reduction came from.  This would be too early in the season for their methodology to change anything on the soybean figures. It's pretty hard to imagine that the planting pace and conditions on them is going to turn out great- but they're more forgiving too.
