Hmm. Never had your "problem" with my waterers. Lol.

That's a 37.00R57 tire with a 20.8R38 in the middle then half a 11R24.5 on top. The tires are screwed together with 3" deck screws to keep them in place. I use half a 11R24.5 as it keeps the wind from lifting a plywood lid with 2" styrofoam that sits inside the bead.

It has 6 holes for ~600 yearlings in the winter. Sometimes a few will freeze up when it's -30 or -40 for a stretch.

I use open top tires in the summer but have issues with algae in them.
