Subject: RE: Rust free trucks

Madison Co. Virginia
One the east coast, I'm about right on the line. Much worse a few counties to the north, and slightly better to the south. It's not uncommon to see 25-35 year old trucks as daily drivers around here. Quite a few 20 year old cars as well.

Look at the usage the vehicle had. A truck that has spent most of its life in "farm duty" will have less rust than a commuter vehicle. The farm truck spends most of its winter days on small back roads that nobody feels like salting. Of course, a "farm duty" truck will be a lot worse off in other aspects.
