Northeast Louisiana | I realize that you are aggravated and rightfully so. But, I will say that if it were me in your boots. I rather be glad that this happened now than later on that you invested tons of money into lime and fertilizer. Plus no telling what else on drainage. It’s best that you found early on that you are dealing with someone has no interest in common sense.
As someone whom farmed for many years. I have a beginning farmer farming my farm last few years. I don’t want the biggest farmer on my property. Having someone that cares about my farm means more to me than anything else. And he also makes top notch yields and has intensive management.
Just hang on until you find the right landlord that has some common sense and you will be fine. Keep your farm looking neat and well maintained. That will help you more than anything.
