Southren Illinois | Been doing it for a few years. JD 4720 sprayer and anywhere from 20-50gl/acre at 8-12mph with 90ft booms. My sprayer is set up on 15" spacing so every other nozzle is used. Correct orfice with hose barb, I attached 12-18" hose to barbs and this takes away any pressure and allows just a stream to flow out. I tried longer hoses and they seemed to just flop around too much and burnt more corn than I liked. As others have said dripping after fold up is the worst part. I hose sprayer off every night if possible. Can cover a lot of acres fast if you have someone to keep 28% to you. | |
