Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | I use single stream nozzles on 20" spacing for corn sometimes. As long as the wind stays below 25 mph there is not any mist. I use stream bars for wheat and doesn't matter what the wind does it just dribbles out in droplets. 90' boom on Terragator.
You want to avoid nozzles that spray out full coverage unless you are applying chemical too. You will have a lot less mist to get on the machine.
Easy to clean up though as fertilizer is very soluble with water. |
