I have had nothing but trouble with my 2 screw drive genies. Bad boards, losing settings, ect. I have a 1990 sears, (Chamberlain) that had been about trouble free. Lighting took out the board but I liked it so well, I bought a used board on ebay and fixed it.
Today I would go with a liftmaster. Overhead door sells them.
