NW South Dakota | Last October with basically zero dollars coming in for crop sales, everything got re-evaluated including who we used for our farm insurance. With very little effort, we found a new provider that offered better coverage for about half as much money. The new agent even listed a bunch of stuff that wasn't on the old policy. I really liked my old agent, he was a family friend. We explained to him that his company wasn't even close to what the new rates were. So we moved on. I do think every few years, a guy should shop around. I think after you have been with a company for a while they feel quite comfortable bumping up your rates a few hundred dollars every year. | |
