Subject: corn basis in the dakotas

NE SD
Our normal harvest basis has been about -.60 before harvest starts then it typically widens during harvest. Right now its about -.57 dec. I'm thinking the Dakotas and parts of Minnesota will have allot more PP corn than normal even if futures continue to rally. If futures continue to rally basis would normally widen a bit with it but if the Dakotas are gonna be short on bushels because of PP then basis may actually get narrow trying to get guys to commit. Here in the dakotas we may have a crazy bad situation for end users even if dec futures don't get any higher than today because the corn may not be there. Could we actually see a positive basis come fall?
