Subject: RE: corn basis in the dakotas

NE SD
I think their will enough to go around but I think it will get bid up. There's probably enough old crop to get all end users to harvest. My question was more about the idea that a futures rally of this magnitude would usually see new crop basis widen but I'm not sure if that will be the case this year because there will be at least double the PP. Guys are already returning corn seed because it won't get in and they won't switch to beans. If the crop in the entire us keeps getting smaller we could have futures rising and basis narrowing for new crop in the Dakotas. That would be odd for here. Just wondering if anyone else sees this possibility like I do.
