| If the market would rally 50-75 cents in the next couple of weeks, (like logically one could argue that given current production concerns it could (should)), that might be high enough to ration 300-500 million bu the next 4 months before new crop becomes readily available. It would price us out of the export market, make e-plants take extended summer downtime for repairs, and take days on feed off of many critters.
Between SA having a monster crop to supply the world, and the US pricing to discourage usage, we could fill the hole from the front end, and not have to worry about how small the crop is this fall.
If y'all want the rocketship type of prices, you need to keep prices NOW at levels that encourage aggressive usage. | |
