indiana | Clay has it right , taking a short break. I don't think you want a straight up violent vertical move. It wouldn't last very long , most of us would miss it. Sell small increments on the way up. Cash corn here is 40-50 cents better than it was 2-3 months ago , that's a good start.
Like it or not the "trade" has tremendous faith that the American Farmer will get the crop planted. Farmers have also cried wolf one too many times only to have a good/great crop. Farmers are pretty damn good at what they do year in year out.
I don't think many realize what a disaster ASF could be(reduced grain demand) if it shows up in the USA. Wet weather obviously can have detrimental effects to yield but it just doesn't get the traders attention like a severe drought.
I think the market will reward us more , but it might take some time. | |
