East Texas | 8R with a DPF is unreliable out of warranty. Money well spent out of warranty on a DPF egr delete. Maybe a low hour new one works great and doesn’t hurt the engine or whatever but a 5000 hour tractor is different.
To the OP. When we delete them we weld stainless plates in egr cooler and remove DPF and gut the thing and bolt it all back up with original stack and guards. It looks 100% stock and isn’t any louder and barely smokes at all, runs 10 degrees cooler and no Stupid Parked regens, fuel use is almost reduced 5%, makes them one step closer to a 10 or 20 series. | |
