West central IL | I'm not sure you're following me. No I can't tell you what you've planted. I doubt anyone on this board can either and if they do have access to the info they aren't going to talk about it.
My point is that monitors in many tractors across this country keep track of acreage as you plant. Myjohndeere does it. Climate cab does it. Etc. Not every tractor obviously but even if only 5 percent of tractors planting in any given area give that data, it's still a very statistically accurate way to gauge planted acres for a given area. That info, especially in a year like that, is worth potentially millions of dollars. Of course Deere and Monsanto tell us that data is kept private.
To reiterate, no I can't tell you specifically what you've planted. Nor can anyone on this board. But I guarantee both Deere and Monsanto could guess within a few percent what your county has planted. | |
