One thing to consider, in Nebraska at least, is that some areas are done, and others have barely started, if at all.
So, if you get to say 80% done in Nebraska (picking a high number our of the air here, I really don't know the correct number) the remaining 20% is in areas that have been mudholes all spring, and will take the longest to dry out. I see little to no more progress around me before June 1st if the forecast is anywhere close to accurate.
I guess what I'm saying is that great progress has likely been made, but progress from here going forward will be extremely slow.


That's exactly how it is here - everyone has gotten their dry ground planted. What is left is so saturated from high groundwater that another 2" of rain this week (if we get it) may make that ground impossible to get on until we get 10 days of dry and heat, and some may not dry out until we start irrigating this summer. The ditches around my place have had groundwater in them since the snowmelt and thaw right before and during the flood.
