I have wondered about that also.  I would  think if ASF got into the feral pig population there would be some  that survive and it would be impossibile to erradicate. It probally make commerical pork production extremelly difficult till a vaccience is deveveloped which the experts say is years away. People still need to eat so more grain and other animals will have to be used.
