| First off absolutely no relation to the family. Second, I’m not looking for maximum compensation, just trying to see if we’re keeping up with the times. I farm zero ground on my own it’s all the family I work for. No company pickup, no half of beef. One benefit is I have all the hunting right to the land and I know what that’s worth. One benefit is time off I of course make my own schedule so vacation time and personal time is used. There are his kids which are older than me but have zero I mean zero interest in coming back to farm. One thing I do know is what I’m worth in the metal fabrication field, I’m a certified welder and left a manufacturing job to come here full time so another benefit i guess is not having to punch a timeclock anymore. | |
