If you have 12 volts on the canbus there is something wrong. Yellow and green wires should only have +-2.5 volts when checking against ground. The 120 ohm resisters are just filters between the two wires to reduce background noise. The resistor is not a pull down to ground.

For ease of use and soldering I use 1/4 watt.
