I do not know where a good place for zero pressure return would be...I think if it were mine I'd tee into return side... Usually case return gives outlet to any leakage within a hydaulic unit and takes any potential pressure from shaft seal ect..Using power beyond port or motor return port ensures you will never expose case drain to system pressure or pressure spike as valve closes ect.
