Nice work man! I rebuilt a 7000 six row over 10 years ago. Paid $2500 for the planter and know I've got way more in it than that! My restoration took over 3 months of hard work, but you sure do know your planter well when your finished.

I seem to keep improving it a little every year, but the best addition I made was a Jamison top drive -gets rid of the issues with chains and the countershaft.

Precision seed meters were a big plus as well.

I've thought about updating my planter to something newer but everything I look at is not as nice as what I own. And the dang ol thing plants a nice stand of corn when I do my part.

Congrats on a job well done. You've saved a ton of money, and will have a machine that will serve you well for many years to come! ENJOY
