Had a Siamese tom cat once that liked to roam at night. He didn't come home for a few days. When he finally did come home he had been chewed up pretty bad. Obviously had been in a big fight with something. Laid around a few days and got healed up. Started going out again at night. Left one night and never came home again. I suspect that whatever chewed him up the first time probably finished the job.
I wouldn't worry too much for a few more days. May show up yet, especially if it's a female. My mom's female cat went missing. Wondered what happened. Dad had moved the old 1,000 bushel grain bin into the back yard to use as a storage shed. Happened to go in there one day to look for something. Opened the door and the cat popped out. She had followed mom in and mom didn't notice. She didn't follow mom out and got locked in there for almost a week. She survived but I don't think she has gone back into that grain bin.
