DeKalb, IL | A formatting of the drive would probably be satisfactory security for anyone who you'd be giving the computer to....but it wouldn't be secure against the person who knows more than I do about snooping on drives. I do know, however, that it would be wrong to assume that you wouldn't lose all the programs. Formatting the drive will require reloading the operating system and all the programs from the source disks that came with the computer and you've bought since then. | |
