Bill, Somehow you have managed to tangle up with a guy from marketing that has not a clue!

Of course, I'm just an old dirt farmer that happens to have a Nuvi 660 and have explored most of the hidden features on the device, so what would I know, if I was to tell you that the guy you were talking to was blowing smoke. The 660 does indeed use the new SIRF chip set and when you first get it, the WAAS capabilities are turned off. One of the very first things I did, when I got mine, was to find the menu and enable the WAAS. About halfway down the page linked, the guy talks about his initial confusion regarding usefulness of WAAS. I have found my unit to be very accurate -- normally in the range of <15 feet.
