For me, the risk of planting beans early is not that they will rot in the ground, but that frost will get them after they are up. Lost 80 acres a few years ago simply because we pulled the trigger to early and had a frost May 10. I'm sure it's one of those 1 year out of 10 kind of deals but I really hate to re plant.
