Last year we dropped 140k, the beans that were shallow planting depth were about 35 to 55k. Deeper planting depth was 85 to 115k. Those were planted March 23rd into 51 degree strips. They came out of ground May 5th. So they were in ground for 44 days. The deeper planted ave well over 80 bushel.
So do you plant later, but still early test strips? If emergence wasn't until May 5, I'm not sure prior to April 20 is much of an advantage. What have you found? |
