I guess our situation just the opposite we try to make 60 bu beans and wind up with 30 and with cotton we know we cant make 1500# so we use a lower yield inputs and can make 750 to a 1000 in most years . Also we have so much deer damage on beans and its not that bad on cotton . 30 bu x 8.26 my quote today 247.80 verses 750# x .72 = 540.00 I wish I could figure out our yield trouble on beans , but it would take 65 bu at 8.26 to make 540.00 and that will never happen on a average across the farm in our area on beans .


The deer and nilgai demolish our cotton. I think it’s only a matter of time till they develop a taste for it
