Central Ga
Not increasing cotton. Gonna bump the peanut acres a little and also bump the corn a little to bring corn and peanut acres more in line. Ideally we like to plant peanuts behind corn. The last two years have left a bad taste in my mouth for cotton. Hurricane Irma clipped our wings in 2017 and Hurricane Michael and nearly 40 inches of rain at harvest in 2018 has presented me an unprecedented opportunity for personal growth! ; ) That being said I am farming today because of my success growing cotton. Cotton has been my biggest joy in farming as well as my biggest disappointment. It has been good before and it will be good again. Long story short....I’m still dancing with the girl I brought to the dance. : )
