Why do we need the news media to cover it? Social media does a fine job of what's going on down here. We need FEMA not NBC, ABC, or CNN. The senators, governors and Pence have been here.
At the end of the day you can really just depend on friends, neighbors, and rural America.
Have a friend from the Niobrara area. Farmers were contacting our newly elected "representative" if you can call him that. They told him their hay was all washed away or inaccessible due to flood waters and wondered what they could do. He referred them to the FSA office for low interest loans to buy hay. The cattle would have been dead by the time any paperwork was approved! Thankfully friends, neighbors, and rural America stepped up for hay drives and other means. It's going to be a long road ahead, but thankfully this country has a lot of good people left.
