NC Indiana | I bought barn stored dry "hay" from a dairyman this past fall for $35/bale that was a first cutting of a new seeding that the dry weather slowed down and the yellow foxtail came in strong. Currently I'm buying 4x4 baleage mixed 3rd cutting that took a rain in the process for $35 plus delivery. I bid on mature dry 4x5's of Orchargrass that sat outside and were bleached out with black around the edges Saturday at the local hay sale. Winning bid was $40 and no saled - owner wanted $50. Nice mixed stored 4x5's brought $57.50. | |
