Without any knowledge of your area, I would say the best advice I can give is make sure the ph is right and always plant into a level, FIRM seedbed. Try to condition the soil to minimize lumps and then harrow and roll before and again after seeding. I like a drill best but broadcast is ok esp when using a brillion seeder.
