WC Mn/Dakotas | Yes here too. Usually too much water early creating shallow roots, then too dry (at least for a shallow root system) later. Still this article applies though. When soil is above field capacity there is no oxygen. So the roots are literally sitting water, but are unable to take water/nutients in and therefore acting like its a drought. N is denitrifying and leeching. Again, soil sensors can help manage this, seed rates need to be trimmed back in lower depression areas similar to a course ridge. | |
