Ok, i figured out why it wasnt making sense. It looked like the shaft was bigger in the middle and the seal would need to come on from the end towards the beaters. There is a sleave that fits over the shaft between the gear and bearing. Hammered the sleeve off now the seal will fit on from the outside. Now to come up with a seal...Thanks for the responses.
