Jake, in what ways do you disagree with the article? How do you see agriculture today, especially in the midwest? I do agree.... I cringe a bit when I see articles like this that use a few examples to paint a situation with a broad brush. That happens not just here, not just in agriculture, but more broadly. However, if you look at the overall picture of what is happening in American agriculture, maybe this article paints more accuracy than what we want to see..... We can argue whether that is good or bad, whether we can do something about it. However, farms are consolidating, with less farm families, and that does have an effect on the local communities. |
