Ripley, Ontario Canada | I am installing a new bathtub, stamped steel and didn't get any install instructions with it. It has a steel side on one long side that goes all the way to the floor, the other sides just a steel lip to but up to wall. I have a 2x4 on other long side, not really much to fasten 2x4 to for blocking on front and back (no wall studs in the right place). Do you usually put blocking under the bottom of the tub too? Or just screw the tub to the wall with it resting on a 2x4?
