Inheritance/gift is now just over 5.5 million per person.
A gain is a gain doesn't matter how much unless of course it is in a house you inhabited 2 of the last 5 years, $250K max per person. It is 0% to $39K, 15% to $426K and 20% above all long term, short term ( under a year) is the same as your income rate.
