Bought a creek bottom that is wet and water will back out on it. It has ph 7.5 to 7.8. I system tiled it this fall, and will be adding 100 pounds elemental sulfur for next 4 years. Good high school friend of mine who is agronomist sent me attached chart.
I would say your soil type plays a big role as well.
