Nebraska | the heavy duty springs are basically scrap iron unless you farm perfectly flat ground, they say 400 pounds downforce but sometimes on my 1760 you go through a little dip in the field and they completely lift off the parallel arms so then your getting ZERO downforce. I went to a 1770NT with airbags now and expecting much better results. I may be biased because i farm ground where one half of the planter is on a east slope and the other half is on a west slope. springs just dont work in my conditions and ive fought them forever until now..... | |
