Row unit ride is significantly better with a air spring vs a mechanical spring. I picked up probably 4-6% more singulation with my planter between air springs and hyd drive.
Not too worried about ride, we keep pretty smooth. Just some extra down force when I have the row cleaners down and am in hard no till ground. I dont have 4-6%. I singulate at 98-99%, but I'm in wheat stubble and not corn with root balls and everything. Thus already having a smooth ride. |
