Corn that passes through intact will often sprout. The trick is to get as little as possible passing through. The easy solution is to feed whole corn to fed cattle where the rate of passage is slow enough, but not to cows. If you need to feed cows, use gluten pellets or DDGs to get both protein and energy from digestible fiber instead of starch.
