Subject: RE: Extending internet from house to shop

Western-Central Lower Michigan
You could try a buried Cat5 line (look on amazon or ebay for direct burial cat5 wire) to the shop, plug it in one of the "yellow" jacks on the router. Then in the shop plug it into the Network cable jack on the computer. If that works, your cable is installed and wired correctly. Then if you want wifi, use any router and (should work) plug the house cable into a yellow jack on the shop router. For a direct connection in the shop use a yellow jack to plug your computer in direct.
If you can run the house to shop cable in a conduit so if it goes bad, you arent digging again.
