Saginaw Michigan | just an fyi, if anyone cares, MDOT has gone to great lengths to make sure this is a truly static reference point. not sure how other states are doing it, but i would want to check it out if i was a user.
it is a 2' diameter, 17' cement pillar, with 15' underground. The antenna is atop an 8-ft high spun aluminum 6-in diameter pole with vertical support braces titled "Earlconic" im not sure what earlconic means... some sort of bracing that resists shrinking and swelling due to temp changes, and also makes it very stiff..?
sounds like you made damn sure yours wasnt going to move, and a much easier, solution, build it like a farmer... ie overbuild it.. lol MORE STEEL!!! just as long as you placed it somewhere where noone will run into it | |
