Cedar Rapids, Iowa | That's interesting. I'm pretty sure the majority of the base stations for the IA DOT RTN are mounted to buildings. They were placed at DOT maintenance facilities. I do believe they are on brick buildings though. Steel or wood building will probably sway in the breeze a slight bit. They commented that the base station in Davenport was on a post because they didn't have a good facility in the area.. They didn't know if they needed one there, but placed one there just to be sure that part of the state would have good accuracy. | |
