I suppose the farther you get the antenna away from the receiver also helps. Would it help to have the vhf antenna higher then the gps receiver?
I had a bit of a problem with a PF3000 with an Addon GPS in a former combine. When I would transmit on the VHF radio, I had interference problems. As I remember it, the PF3000 screen would even go blank.
On that rig I just moved the VHF radio antenna to a different location which cleared up the problem. On that particular combine it was very easy to do since the VHF antenna was a magnetic mount. |
