Ladoga, IN, United States, North America, Earth | Headland mode is used when you want to set a boundary around the outside of the field. Mostly used in spraying so that when you turn on the ends and your boom goes over the fence or in the side ditch it will not turn on. I haven't seen any reason other than that to use headland mode, unless you wanted it to count the acres of the field for you so you knew how many were in it before you started. When using headland mode on the 500 you have to set your A-B or A+ line while doing the headland. It is quite the pain in the butt if you want to change your line because as soon as you make a new A-B line it will not have your headlands anymore. At least, I haven't figured out how to make the headlands stay. |
