Illinois | I bought a Cat 416C hoe a while back. It has 4wd. I plan to use it for normal farm uses. The person I bought it from said I’ll never use my loader tractor for it’s loader again after running the backhoe.
The first time I tried to use it was during a big snow a few weeks ago. I thought it would be very handy to push snow. I quickly found out differently and couldn’t get back to the shed with it fast enough after sliding down a small hill sideways and almost tipping over.
The next time I took it to a cattle pasture to level out rough areas after a good thaw. It was so helpless in the mud that I made it about halfway where I wanted to go and left it sitting there, not even able to get back out of the pasture until the ground freezes again.
In both these cases I ended up in my FWA loader tractor that “I’d never use again”. So is it normal that they are so helpless in these conditions? If so, I’m very disappointed that I bought it. | |
