| We used farmers edge last year and I was pleased with their zones. I took 6 years of yield data on one field and 8 on the other and compared them to their zones and they were pretty close. In retrospect I could have probably skipped using farmers edge and just made zones out of my maps, but you don't know until you try.
One thing about the zoning though. West Central SK and Southern MB are pretty different. What worked for me with yield maps might not for you. My low yielding zones are due to moisture run off and salinity. Your's are probably low spots due to flooding. I'd stick your toe in the water on a couple quarters and see what happens.
Farmers Edge aren't the only show in town. They're just the ones getting all the press right now. Not a knock on their service because I was pleased with what I got. Just saying is all. | |
