SW MN | Same here, I want to be able to make a 1/2 mile round and unload on the end. When we upgraded combines last time, a 9670 would have been just fine. But the 9770s and 9870s weren't any more expensive, and they were almost always equipped better (ProDrive, 5 speed feederhouse, higher capacity clean grain system, 4wd, high speed unload - which is a big deal for us guys who unload at the end of the field).
Depending on your yields, you might consider an 8 row. Then you can run duals. I run an 8, and if I get into high yielding corn, I will just take 7 rows each direction, or 7 and 6, and so on. But most of the time I can take the full 8, or 7 and 8. | |
