SC Wisconsin | Ive always had a little bean ground i leave to spread on over winter and in the spring, then right before planying i will chisel plow it, hit it with the finiser and plant. This will be my first year of all continuous corn so im trying to decide how to go about it next winter. I take stalks off everything so it needs manure back on it. Our chisel plow is the soil saver type, 15" centers with. 3" twisted shovels so it makes it pretty rough to drive across spreading. Should i get some kind of leveler for the back of that and just chisel everything in the fall and spread on top of that? Also thought of just leaving everything that doesnt get manure in the fall and just moldboard plowing it in the spring after all the lots amd sheds get cleaned out. I dont have the space to stockpile a whole years worth of manure so that kind of kills that idea. This i all penpack manure so not really concerned with liquid running off. What do you guys do? | |
